Household Hazardous Waste

Hamilton County has an effective Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program where you can drop off these products and get rid of them at no charge.  Household hazardous waste includes items like automobile fluids, home improvement products like paint, pesticides, pool chemicals, cleaning products, etc.  These items should not be placed in your regular trash or down the drain, because they are harmful to the environment.

In 2009, the program runs March 14 - November 14, 2009. It is only available to Hamilton County residents, and you must show proof of residency (driver's license, utility bill, etc.) with you when you drop off your waste at one of the two drop-off centers.

Visit the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Program website to learn what waste products are eligible, as well as drop-off center locations and hours of operation.
