Mayor Charles Kamine  
A resident of Amberley for 30 years, Chuck has served on Council for 10 years, the last four as Mayor.   He also served on the Village's Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals for 21 years and is the past Chairman of the First Suburbs Consortium of Southwest Ohio. 

He is a practicing attorney with the firm of Kamine & Schilling LLC focusing in the areas of probate, real estate and business practice.   He has been active on several committees of the Cincinnati Bar Association including as chair of the Real Property Law Committee and chair of the Grievance Committee and has been a continuing education lecturer.

Chuck is a past president of Congregation Bnai Tzedek and serves on the board of the Schilling School for Gifted Children.   He is married to Darlene and has a grown daughter.


Vice Mayor Merrie Stewart Stillpass

Merrie was elected to Council in 2005 and elected Vice Mayor in 2007.  She founded the Amberley Village Beautification Committee, of which she is chair, and served on the Board of Zoning Appeals for 15 years.   She is also a trustee at the Cincinnati Museum Center and chairs the History Advisory Board. 

She attended the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art, Architecture & Planning receiving a Bachelor of Urban Planning (1979) and Master of Science in Architecture (1995).   Her education reinforced her commitment to improving the built environment and quality of life through planning and design. 

A lifelong resident of Amberley, Merrie has been married for 24 years to her childhood neighbor, John Stillpass, whom she re-met after college. They have two sons.  

Jon Chaiken
Jon is serving his first term on Council after being a member of the Planning Commission/Board of Zoning Appeals and the Stormwater Advisory Board.  A native of Cincinnati, Jon first moved to Amberley in 1972 and graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1981.

He received his undergraduate BA degree from Miami University in Marketing, and later received his MBA from Xavier University.  Currently Jon is President of Japlar Group, a Blue Ash company, which manufactures and distributes battery chargers, transformers and power supplies under the branded name Shauer. Married to another Amberley native, Randi, they live with their three daughters live on Brookwood Lane.

Fran Cohen
A native of Cincinnati, Fran graduated from Walnut Hills High School and the University of Cincinnati (College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning).  A resident of Amberley Village for 44 years, she has served five terms on Council. 

She and her husband, Stan, have been married for 56 years and have two children and five grandchilren.  Fran has been an active community volunteer, serving for 25 years with the Cincinnati Art Museum, CET, and the ATP Tennis Tournament.  At present, she is on the Board at Clovernook Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, serving as Chair of the Fund Development Committee.

Fran has received the UC Foundation Trustees Award, the UC College of DAAP Distinguished Alumni Award, the Elizabeth Campbell Outstanding Public TV Volunteer Award, and was named an Enquirer Woman of the Year in 1987.


Peg Conway
Peg was appointed to Council in December 2006.   Her professional background is in employee communications and journalism, with degrees from Xavier University and Northwestern University.   A lifelong resident of the Cincinnati area, Peg moved to Amberley with her family in 2003, drawn by the beauty of green space and mature trees.  

She has been married to Joe for 18 years, and they have three teenage children.  She previously worked in communication consulting; currently she is a writer and an active volunteer in support of her children's athletic and performing arts activities.   She also has been a childbirth educator and labor support person.  At St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, where she has been a member  nearly 25 years, Peg has held numerous leadership positions, including on the pastoral council and development committees.  


Louis Katz
Louis was elected to Council in 2005.  is serving his second term on Council, chairing the Law and Evaluation Committees. He has been certified as a Magistrate and hears cases for the Village in Mayor's Court.

A native of Cincinnati, Louis graduated from Woodward High School in 1966 and from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Political Science in 1970. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati in 1973.  He has practiced law in Cincinnati with the law firm of Katz Greenberger and Norton since earning his degree. He concentrates his practice in probate, estate planning and real estate.  He has been active in various community activities including Hillel, ARMDI, WCET to name a few. He is married to Andrea Kravetz and has a cockatoo named Echo. He has lived on Beechlands since 1986.


Leslie McIntosh
Appointed to Council in August 2008, Leslie previously had been involved with the Beautification Committee.   She is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati and worked in her family's restaurant businesses while attending Mariemont High School and the University of Cincinnati. She is married to Dr. Errol Stern and has lived in Amberley for nine years. She organized a group called Ohioans Choose Safe Food, which worked to educate the community about selection of fresh produce and their safe care and storage.

She began her paralegal career in 1991, assisting in malpractice, product liability, construction and employment litigation matters. Leslie also worked in the litigation department at GE Aircraft Engines.  She became a sales representative for a national litigation support company in 1999. Later, she worked for the Frost Brown Todd firm as Litigation Support Manager. Currently, Leslie consults with local attorneys and creates electronic courtroom presentations.
